Sacred Journeys in the Andes Retreat
At Cinco Medicos Retreats, we combine plant medicine ceremony, supportive embodiment practices, and a unique integration program to empower each guest in their healing. Our years of medicine work, trauma-informed care, and mental health experience offer a special, safe, and loving environment for people at every stage in their healing journey and spiritual curiosity.

Participant Selection
For each retreat, we carefully select participants through a thorough review of medical and psychological intake forms, followed by a personal interview. We aim to bring together individuals whose attitudes, intentions, and readiness align with the group’s energy and purpose.
Depending on your experience, needs, and interests, the journey may range from gentle to deeply transformative. Our approach is always safe, gradual, and respectful of both the participant’s well-being and the plant’s power.
Locations & Accommodations
We offer three centers across the Americas with affordable and comfortable accommodations. In Peru, we offer lodging in Willcahuain (20 minutes from Huaraz) and Chavin de Huantar. In New Hampshire, we offer lodging in the White Mountains on the Vermont border (1 hr from Concord, 2 hrs from Burlington). We do travel.

Willcahuain, Peru
In Willcahuain, we have partnered with a Quechuan family of huachumeros by pre-Incan ruins and huacas (sacred sites). All our medicine is sustainably harvested from our various gardens in Ancash province. Lodging (pictured right) is on-grid with beds, bathrooms, and warm meals provided.
Ceremonies here are held in the mountains and by rivers, waterfalls, and high-altitude lagunas with stunning view of the Cordillera Blanca. We prepare all our own medicine and encourage guests to participate in the process. Trekking in this area is world-class.
Arrival: We can help with travel logistics from Lima > Huaraz > Willcahuain if you travel by bus. There is an airport in Anta (about 1/2 hour from Huaraz) if you are flying from Lima. Guests are responsible for taxi/colectivo from Huaraz. We recommend 1-2 nights of acclimatization in Huaraz first. Your body will need to rest from travel and energy to adjust to the altitude (3300m+) before any ceremonies or trekking.

Chavin de Huantar, Peru
In Chavin, we work at the highest levels with the strongest medicine and experience a deep connection to the temple. Ceremonies are held with exclusive access to special locations inside. We also visit huacas (sacred sites) like Hatun Machay on occasion. Ceremony closes at the retreat center in Chavin with a fire and warm meal. Guests sleep in private chosas, or huts (pictured right), on ceremony night.
Arrival: Guests will be responsible for transportation from Lima > Huaraz > Chavin via bus or colectivo. We can help with logistics and recommend 1-2 rest days before ceremony.
New Hampshire, U.S.A.
In North America, we offer lodging on 360 acres of beautiful land in Wentworth, N.H., close to the Appalachian trail. We’re located between 89 & 93, on the southern edge of the White Mountains, with mountain views of Vermont.
Onsite, the center offers trails in pristine forest, with brooks, meadows, & sunny clearings. Offsite, you can enjoy waterfalls, swimming holes, hiking, fishing, boating, tram tours, scenic attractions like Flume Gorge, NH State Parks, and National Forests.
Open May through October, this is a rustic off-grid camp with running water, outhouses, solar panels, & the following amenities:
Main cabin (kitchen, wood stove, living room, porch, veranda, loft, sleeping space)
Guest Cabin (with bunk beds)
Rustic Bathhouse (heated)
Fire Pit & Ceremony Space
Outdoor Camping Area
Woods & Walking Trails

1:1 Sessions
With a private sacred ceremony, you can co-create a personal journey designed for your needs.
While our group retreats are a safe and comfortable healing container for people from all walks of life, we understand that some people benefit from a more personal approach when working with plant medicine.
1:1 Sessions are especially good for:
Those who have never worked with plant medicine in a ceremonial setting and want to receive more personalized guidance and support during their first healing ceremony.
Those who experience social anxiety and/or panic attacks and may require more personal support.
Those who feel drawn to our retreats for the plant medicine ceremonies but are not as interested in the other modalities included in our group retreats.
A private ceremony is more intimate and focused on the plant medicine journey. With less distractions, you can go even deeper than in a group setting.
Sessions may begin in the morning and last until the evening, closing with dinner and conversation by the fire. Private sessions are ideal for treating mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual disorders with special attention and care.
Before our session together, we will discuss your needs, background, intentions, as well as answer any questions or concerns you may wish to express. It is important to prepare your body, mind, and spirit, as well as to set strong intentions for the ceremony and, in certain cases, initiate the appropriate diet prior to the ceremony.
Afterwards, we will dedicate some time to process the experience and help you to apply any lessons or insights to your life so you will get the most out of your journey.
Couples
Couples journeys are good for close friends, significant others, as well as trusted business or creative partners. With a trusted person, you can explore your own process while deepening your connection. Sometimes, you might be looking to heal a relationship if there are issues. Either way, our sacred cactus medicine helps to reanimate love, creatively solve problems, and to see blockages for what they truly are, so both individuals emerge closer, and with more compassion for each other’s unique process. If you are ready to know yourself at a more profound level in the company of a good friend or explore your relationship at a deeper level of connection and authenticity, our sacred cactus medicine can take you there.
Small Group Ceremonies
A group sacred ceremony is circle in which approximately three to ten people experience an often life-changing journey. Group ceremonies are conducted in carefully chosen locations that are diligently prepared for this work, creating truly sacred spaces where participants feel safe, held, and attended to with great care.
During small group ceremonies, you have the opportunity to connect with and learn from sacred master plants from the Amazon, Andes, and elsewhere. Group ceremonies free you to go on a rich, beautiful, life-changing journey to the heart of what really matters while forging a true connection to others going through a similar process.

This retreat is for those who wish to accelerate their venture, burn their doubts, and feel inspired by a new vision as it magically unfolds. Every ceremony is a combination of spiritual adventure and deep personal work through self-reflection. We take the medicine in nature in order to allow our Self to be readjusted to the natural rhythm of life, which is often profoundly healing given the fast-paced pulse of society today. Each ceremony begins in the morning and lasts until the evening, closing with dinner and conversation by the fire.
During “rest days”, we will employ mindset, talk therapy, somatic coaching, creative workshops, and integration circles to inspire all participants to align their body, mind, and heart. Our expertise in art and entrepreneurship allows each participant to get “unstuck” with whatever project they are working on, and to take actions in alignment with a deeper sense of purpose in order to effect meaningful change.
At Cinco Medicos, our primary focus is healing first, creative problem-solving second. We have designed this retreat to free your mind from self-imposed limits, cultivate heart-centered leadership, and discover innovative solutions to the complex challenges we face both individually and collectively.
